Check out CNHF President and CEO, Dr. Kenneth Orduna, and our Central clinic, featured in the American Public Health Association's new YouTube series with Dr. Italo Brown, Dr. Cedric Rutland, and certified Grammy recording artist, Masego.
The barbershop is where people go to fellowship and talk about social issues. Dr. Italo Brown and Dr. Cedric Rutland stop by their local barbershop to talk about COVID-19 and the vaccine; answering questions about how COVID-19 has hit minority communities so hard and the vaccine’s safety.

CNHF is awarded four Community Health Center Quality Recognition (CHQR) Badges for 2020-2021. Badge #1: Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality: Recognizes health centers that meet all criteria to optimize HIT services that advance telehealth, patient engagement, interoperability, and collection of social determinants of health to increase access to care and advance quality of care.

We are honored to announce that Central Neighborhood Health Foundation (CNHF) recently received the Robert E. Tranquada, MD Safety Net (Tranquada XII) Grant of $75,000 to provide currently authorized COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible low-income individuals in the Southern California communities which we serve. The Tranquada XII funds will support COVID-19 vaccination program infrastructures, engage in outreach, and utilize appropriate resources to address barriers to vaccinations experienced by medically underserved areas (MUAs). The grant agreement began on May 10, 2021, and will end on May 9, 2022.
Thank you to our partners at LA Care for making this possible.
We are beyond grateful for this opportunity to further serve our community!

The Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA) is working closely with clinics, hospitals, and Federally Qualified Health Centers to get the PPEs directly in the hands of those individuals getting vaccinated, and going forward, we will partner with more groups to get supplies to homebound seniors as well.
